About the Verizon Fios Home Internet military discount

What is the military discount for Verizon Fios Home Internet?
Eligible military members and veterans can get a monthly discount on Verizon Fios home internet service.

New Fios customers - can get a discount with any one of these plans:

$5 off/month on 200 Mbps

$10 off/month on 400 Mbps

$15 off/month on Gigabit Connection

And for new Fios customers, the $99 setup fee is waived when you complete your qualifying Fios Home Internet order online.

Existing Fios customers - You can get a discount if you already have an eligible plan or you change to an eligible, available plan:

$5 off/month on any speeds less than 200 Mbps or on 200* Mbps

$10 off/month on either 300 Mbps or 400* Mbps

$15 off/month on either 500 Mbps or Gigabit* connection

*You can change your plan to 200 Mbps, 400 Mbps or Gigabit Connection only. If you already have 1 of the other eligible plans listed above you can keep it and get the associated discount.

You can apply online through our Discounts by Verizon page. You’ll be asked to validate your military status as part of the discount registration.
I'm a veteran. Can I apply for the military discount?
Yes. Veterans are eligible to apply for the Verizon Fios military discount.
Can I also get this discount through my employer?
This discount isn’t available through employers. You can visit our Verizon Connections page to see if a different Verizon discount may be available through your employer.

Note: You can have either the military discount or a Verizon Connections discount, but not both.

I tried to register for this discount but got a message that I wasn’t eligible. What should I do?
If you think there was an error when you tried to validate your credentials you can either:

Try validating again through MilVetID.

The MilVetID verification system is an extension of Veterans Advantage’s VetRewards program. Contact Veterans Rewards at 1.415.814.9673.
I'm having trouble validating my military status online. What can I do?
You may be experiencing a network or VPN issue. Try visiting our discount registration page with a different device (e.g., if you tried to sign up with your phone, try again with your laptop or vice versa).
I got my monthly bill and my discount amount seems wrong. What do I do?
If you've received confirmation that your submission was validated but you don't get a discount:

Keep in mind it can take up to 2 bill cycles for any discount updates to appear on your monthly bill.

You may be on a plan that's not eligible for a discount. When you change to an eligible plan, you can apply for a discount.
