Set up the Verizon Cloud app on your computer

  • 1. Open the Verizon Cloud app.
  • 2. Sign in:
    • If you have a Verizon wireless account: Enter your mobile number and My Verizon password.
    • If you have a Verizon home account: Enter your wireline email and My Verizon password.
    • If you don’t have a Verizon account: Create a new account.
  • 3. When prompted, accept the Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy.
  • 4. Select a Verizon Cloud storage option.
  • 5. Click Try plan and then click Sign up.
  • 6. Enter your nickname and address, and click Continue.
  • 7. Click Add device.
  • 8. Note: Click the switch to on (green) if you want to transfer or restore content to your device.Name your computer for easy searching and click Continue.
  • 9. Accept the default folders, or click Customize to select other folders.
  • 10. Click Start backup.

Once the initial backup is complete, you can start managing your Verizon Cloud content through the app. The first sync may take a while, depending on how much content you have.

Set up the Verizon Cloud mobile app

  • 1. Open the Verizon Cloud app on your device.
  • 2. If prompted, tap the switches to turn permissions on (green) or off (gray), and then tap NEXT in the top right corner of the screen.
  • 3. Tap Get Started.
  • 4. If prompted, enter the My Verizon password for the device, and then tap Sign in.
  • 5. If prompted, enter the one-time PIN sent through email during first-time setup, and then tap Next.
  • 6. Check the box for each type of content you want Verizon Cloud to back up, and then tap Next in the top right corner.
  • Note: You may be prompted to set up your profile.

Once the initial backup is complete, you can start managing your Verizon Cloud content through the app. The first sync may take up to 48 hours, depending on the amount of content you have.

Only the Account Owner may add users to a Verizon Cloud shared account in the:

  • Mobile app:
    • On the main screen, tap the Settings icon (gear), tap Manage Storage, tap Manage Members, and finally Invite user.
    • Enter a nickname and email address for the person you’re inviting, and click Send invite.

An invitation will be emailed to the recipient.

  • Computer app:
    • Click the Cloud icon:
      • Mac - At the top right
      • Windows - At the bottom right
    • Click the Menu icon (3 dots), then Settings, then User management, and finally Send invite.
    • Enter a nickname and email address for the person you’re inviting and click Send invite.

An invitation will be emailed to the recipient.
